Anyone lost this yellow machine?

Today I decided to use "This is Belgium" and do something a bit different.. I am calling out for help.
My neighbor across the street is very upset because this motorcycle has been sitting in front of her apartment building in Brussels for 3 months now. The moto is parked in front of HER building and next to HER parking spot.  She is upset because she is afraid to hit and damage it when she opens the door of her car. She is upset because no one is interested in it or knows who the owner is. She is upset because the police does not come after it,  because it has no license plate,  because the owner is untraceable.. and because, at the same time, it  has a very heavy chain.
So, anyone who can help my neighbor, please comment !

  1. Hmmmm now if only I had a key for the padlock I would be happy to move it out of your neighbour's way. Amazing what some people can leave lying around!!! Diane

  2. I would get some kind of bolt cutter and relieve the "burden" from your neighbor's place. I would love to buzz around Belgium in this yellow number!

  3. Er bestaat 'www.gevondenfietsen.be', Anni. Misschien eens een formuliertje invullen in de hoop dat de eigenaar op die manier zijn eigendom terugvindt ?!

  4. How amazing that it has been there for so long! I'd hate to have it in front of my house for that long, too!

  6. You are doing a good deed. It seems odd that someone left that fancy schmancy cycle there for good! Maybe it's stolen!

  7. What a beautiful zoom-zoom in yellow no less! This is an odd story. If it were mine I would move it!

  8. I agree with Kate. Get a towing company to come out with a bolt cutter and take it away. Nice bike.

  10. J'ai arrêté la moto, il y a peu ... si personne n'en veut ... et que le propriétaire veut s'en débarasser ... pourquoi pas ! Ceci dit avec le sourire :-)

  11. I am surprised that the owner is not coming back for this beautiful bike. If it were left in Atlanta – by now the back wheel would be gone, as well as many other parts! Same in many other towns, like Paris. It shows how safe your country is.

  12. Thank you everyone for your comments. But the truth is that I do not feel very much like putting your enthusiastic proposals into practice.
The weird thing is that it must be stolen, but the thief really thought of securing his "find".
Let's see what happens. I will let you know.
Vagabonde, unfortunately, I do not think that Brussels is much safer than Paris or any other city for that.. a bike in the street unattached is usually gone in a jiffy.. I do not know what it is about this "sbmancy" as Virginia calls it..
