As I seem to be into celebrities lately, here is another one: singer and actor Johnny Hallyday. This small statue was for sale and could be admired in the window of a hotel in Paris two months ago. When I passed by there again last week, expensive Johnny was no longer there and must have found an owner.
Johnny was born in 1943 as Jean-Philippe Smet to a French mother Huguette and a Belgian father Leon Smet.
"An icon in the French-speaking world since the beginning of his career, he was considered by some to have been the French Elvis Presley. He was married for 15 years to one of the most popular French female singers: Sylvie Vartan. They formed the golden couple of the sixties and seventies in Europe"

  1. Fun, interesting post for the day, Anni! The statue does remind me of Elvis! Have a wonderful weekend!

  2. Die blijft fans hebben, Anni...

  3. Si esto es Bélgica, me quedo!
    Bella imagen e interesante!

  4. Ciao! Grazi per la visita...bellissima Bruxelles, l'ho visitata questa estate!

  5. Well I think he's a great old rocker who doesn't need anybody else to sing his songs for him, his voice isn't dubbed. If you mean lip-synching, then yes, I prefer Plastic Bertrand, too.
I agree with Sylvia, he has some Elvis in him. Good ol' rock and roll.

  13. Very expensive! Who bought it should maddly love Johnny Hallyday.
I ignored he was french and husband of Sylvie Vartan!

  14. The researchers discovered that farmacia on line
drastically reduces multiple sclerosis symptoms in animal models of traumatic brain injury.
I do understand that the impetus is to grow, reaching a global audience on every imaginable platform.
