A Belgian tram in Porto?

I just returned from a short holiday to Porto, where I was told that this tram was 'Made in Belgium'. I have my doubts and was not been able to check the validity of the statement. Maybe one of you knows?
As far as recommendations go, however, I do not hesitate for a second: Jimao Tapas e Vinhos is a jewel of a restaurant! If you are planning a visit to Porto, I warmly recommend you reserve a table. It is unique and exquisite!

  1. Sometimes trams and busses are sold to foreign countries, so it could be a Belgian tram.

  4. Sounds like a lovely trip....
Belgians get everywhere...one of the most famous buildings in San Jose, capital of Costa Rica, is the Metal School...a large prefabricated building made in Belgium and shipped out in the late 19th century.

Thanks for the info on the Belgian San José link. I might have to dedicate a posting to that too.

  6. HI, over from Biekriebels. Most of the trams were built in Portugal, but a few came from England and Belgium too.
Porto is lovely, glad you enjoyed it, I haven't been there for quite a few years.
