Mirjam poses in front of Sicis, the Art Factory, an Italian mosaic company with a very attractive showroom in Brussels, rue Tenbosch 88.
Mirjam is a Dutch national who spent most of her life in Belgium. Her husband’s job also took the family with their three children to France, Spain and South Africa, where she learned the art of creating mosaics. Mirjam now has an impressive collection of her own which includes the ‘zebra’ table and chair that will be shown at the “Parcours des Artistes” in Watermael-Boitsfort in May. (sloothabes@skynet.be)

Love Mosaics! When I was in Spain, that was when I really started to appreciate the beauty of mosaics. The last photo is amazing!!
ReplyDeleteThanks Senorita... funny that Mirjam who lived in Spain took up the art of creating Mosaics herself while she was in South Africa..I do like the last one also, it actually is a standing lamp, the lady of the store lit it for the picture, but of course, difficult to show that additional effect in a photograph.
ReplyDeleteA lamp?? Wow, evener cooler!!

I was wondering if you ever considered changing the layout of your
ReplyDeletewebsite? Its very well written; I love what youve got to say.
But maybe you could a little more in the way of content so
people could connect with it better. Youve got an awful lot of text for only having 1 or two images.
Maybe you could space it out better?
