Café Commerce




Café "Commerce" in Leuven is an example of an authentic café serving Belgian beers, a place with charm and simplicity - call it old fashioned if you prefer, a café known and appreciated by locals, the large student population and others alike. 
What I like about this place is the wooden paneling and furniture, the draft beer counter, the sidewalk chairs, the newspapers provided for the customers. 
Every little item is important to make the picture complete.
Café "Commerce" is located on the square with the beetle on the needle (see posting of November 4).

    What gorgeous photos! I have not visited Belgium yet but it is certainly on my list of paces to visit! Like you, I like the wood paneling and I love to attend the places that locals feel comfortable in.

    I think you are SPOT ON. These type of places are realy what makes our little contry different and so pleasant to live in. I am afraid that the number of authentic pubs are falling dramaticaly...So let's get ou, party and drink allot of beers to support the last real belgium cafe

    Now It’s seems I am going to visit Brussels as well ;-) I have never been there so perhaps it’s time…to go for a good coffee.
