It is more of an exception Japoline. Here in Brussels in the area's with a high concentration of Americans (in Waterloo for instance) groups of children dress up and walk from house to house like in the US. I wrote about it last year, see http://whatisbelgium.blogspot.be/2011/10/trick-or-treat.html
Ooh it looks so eerie! Yes, the little kids (and big ones) will be out in full force here knocking on doors for a treat. Some of the costumes are so cute! :)
