Belgians had to - yes, voting is compulsory - go to the polls today in municipal elections. In my town these ladies were very tired but obviously also eager to see the results on TV tonight.
Groeten, Marianne
Hallo Anni, Never change a winning team zou de slogan hier bij ons in het dorp kunnen zijn :-) Ik wist niet dt je in een kieslokaal mocht fotograferen? Groetjes, Frans
November 6 is election day here for a number of Senate and House of Representatives seats and of course the Presidency. Although, early voting as started in a number of states here. ( I can vote early onOctober 23). Most people who are party affiliated vote early because they are certain of who they want in office. If you wait to vote on November 6, there can sometimes be very long lines. :)
Yes, I remember it well. I went voting at 10:30. I started enjoying an aperitif at 11. I stopped enjoying at 19:30. That must be a record for an aperitif.
I think there are a lot of us concerned about the elections everywhere these days! Great shots, Anni!

Always in hope of a solution....
ReplyDeletewouldn't it be nice if there were a global solution?
DeleteI prefer electronic voting. Less waiting I assume.
ReplyDeleteGreetings,
Filip
yes, fortunately we have electronic voting here too. it is just that the choice is always so difficult because we have so many parties.
