Freedom of street "art"

You can be for or against, like or hate this kind of colorful or black and white decoration, you can agree or disagree.
What strikes me is that when the author wants the public to understand the message, English is used even in an almost 100% francophone area where the second picture was taken. I took the first one in Antwerp a few weeks ago.

    1. je wordt er volgens de auteur minder 'afhankelijk' en meer 'vrij' van en daar heeft hij waarschijnlijk wel een punt, Frans.

  5. Great street art! The first one is really colorful and dramatic and the second one makes it very clear what his/her thoughts are -- in color or black and white!!! Hope your week is going well, Anni!!

  7. Hallo Anni
Hoewel het soms mooi gemaakt is, vind ik het toch jammer dat het overal op gespoten wordt.

  16. Street art is certainly divisive but I love it all from graffiti to tagging to art and typography.

It is intesresting that they used English but alternative ideas often come from outside of our own cultures. I saw Cyrillic graffiti in Germany and had a good time trying to decifer that.

  18. If the alternative is a dull boring spot I'd go with a colourful mural every time Anni, this one fits the bill perfectly :) they do say English is the universal language, I'm not sure...
