Parking in Brussels is a daily challenge. Some do find an inventive solution and get by. Others, like our Italian friend here, were not that fortunate.
you offer a lot of solutions and alternatives, Janey. Like many living in Brussels, I would not hesitate to take public transport.. only the busses and trams do not cover the whole territory and the waiting time in case of transfer is often prohibitive, too long for busy (or impatient) passengers.
I must admit though that I would not be able to survive without driving. I am the taximan (woman) of the family and have been since a very long time. The secret is keep on driving (without parking) ;)
DeleteParking is a universal urban problem when the primary means of transport is a private car. Interesting photos.
ReplyDeletethank you TFG, glad you enjoy the photos.
DeleteGreat photos here, Anni. :). And this is definitely some quite inventive parking!
ReplyDeleteit is, thank you for your comment, Mary

I think I would try my best to use mass transit if I worked in a large city. If I did use a car...It would be tiny...or like that scooter.
