Sisisi bar




If you walk by this beautiful art deco café, you can not fail to be impressed by the huge frame with the text of  a law dating from 1938 called "Arrêté-Loi relatif à la répression de l'ivresse - Besluitwet tegen Openbare Dronkenschap - Loi contre l'Ivresse Publique", which translates as Law against Public Drunkenness. The cafe itself is beautiful, and it is unfortunate that it does not seem  to attract customers, at least that was the case when I passed by.

    I wish we had a café like this around our town, but we don’t, only Starbucks that’s all. You have talented sons. I looked at your son’s blog who is traveling in South America – he will have tons of things to tell you I am sure.

    Dat lijkt me een heerlijke plaats om eens een tijdje te vertoeven. Een art-déco café en die gaan we zoeken in het buitenland, terwijl we er zelf hebben!

    Thanks Anni...it does look so beautiful....do they play a lot of jazz in Belgium's cafes? I do hope so. Praps I can visit this golden cafe when I visit. A bientot.
