Walking on water

At the Embarcadero in Brussels' Bois de la Cambre, a man in uniform navigates a wooden ferry to bring  customers to the other side of the lake where they can enjoy drinks and dinner at Chalet Robinson.
I thought his picture would look pretty cool on This is Belgium and started chatting with him,  hoping he would approve being photographed as he did.
Suddenly,  two people showed up carrying big white letters J and C.   They had come to illustrate,  in a as literal way as possible,  the Biblical story of Jesus walking on water.

  4. Hallo Anni,
Ik merk met plezier dat het Chalet Robinson nog steeds in trek is! Ik dacht dat het op een bepaald moment gesloten werd.

  11. Grace, I think that the couple from the second photo have taken their "J" and "C" on the ferry with them.

Anni, this is delightful and what a great capture of the man in uniform.

Please send me an email if you get to USA - thinking about you.

    Bises,
    Genie

  12. Nice portrait of gentleman in uniform, it looks great. The couple JC is rather funny with those two letters. I love the autumn landscape on the lake. A magnificent series.

  16. Bonjour Anni.
Je pense comme toi. Les lettres sont une référence à JC marchant sur l'eau.
