The MIM today has a restaurant on the top floor which offers a awesome panorama over Brussels and now that it has stopped raining this is the time!
The mailboxes date from the times when the Museum shop building hosted a bank and I also wanted to show you the beautiful entrance doors.

ReplyDeleteJ'ai fait mes études à Nancy où l'art nouveau a triomphé aussi. Toute une époque que l'on aurait du mal à recréer. Quand je pense que parfois on n'a pas conservé comme cela a failli être le cas de la brasserie l'Excelsior à Nancy (classée aujourd'hui)...

ReplyDeleteI'm glad that you pointed out that those are mailboxes. I thought they were top loading washing machines (I know, it's been a hard day at work).
I wonder if the Gresham on that sign is related to Gresham College in London?
